SKI INSTRUCTOR ANWÄRTER - LEVEL 1+2 - December Course

Date: Thu, 27.11.2025 till Sat, 06.12.2025

Arrival Day: Meeting Point: 9:00 a.m. at the lower ticket office, parking area of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Lifts, Kesselfallstraße 60, 5710 Kaprun

Departure Day: On the final course day, the exams will take place. Departure is scheduled in the afternoon following the certificate presentation.

Requirements: Minimum age: 16 years, Confident parallel turns on all types of slopes and in all snow conditions at a “normal” skiing speed

Accommodation: Accommodation must be arranged individually if required.

Arrival and Departure: Participants are responsible for organizing their own travel to and from the course location and the cable car station.

Course Schedule: Approx. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on-snow training each day. Theory sessions and video analysis will take place in the afternoon and/or evening.

The practical and theoretical exams are held on the final two course days (subject to short-notice changes due to weather conditions).

Recognition: Austria is divided into several federal states, each has its own law for ski schools, which can be different in the regulations. Despite these differences of the state laws, there is an agreement between the regional associations of the federal states that allows the recognition of Austrian educations in German language in all federal states. Therefore, the German courses and examinations of the Viennese Ski and Snowboard Instructor Association - Snowsports Academy are recognized in all Austrian federal states.

​Examinations in English: The Snowsports Academy is the only association in Austria that offers educations and exams in both German and English. It is important to note that some Austrian federal states require appropriate German language skills to work as a snowsports instructor, and employment in these regions is only possible after passing a German exam. Therefore, we recommend taking the exam in German if you wish to work in Austria. Otherwise, only an international certificate from the Snowsports Academy can be issued, which is recognized in many countries but not in all regions of Austria.

Payment Terms: A deposit of 20% of the total course fee is due upon registration. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 20 days before the course begins, without further notice. For course bookings made less than 20 days prior to the start date, the full amount is payable immediately.

Cancellation Insurance: If a course is canceled prior to its start, cancellation fees will apply. By taking out cancellation insurance, the paid amount can be protected. Accident Insurance: It is possible to take out accident insurance (including helicopter rescue) for €28. This is strongly recommended. Please note that this course is considered a professional training event, which may limit coverage under some private insurance policies. Registration Deadline / Minimum Number of Participants: If the maximum number of participants is reached, registration may close earlier. If fewer than 8 participants register, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the course.
